MODULE 1 AND MODULE 2

The New DSA 2 part Motorcycle test is now here! It arrived on 27th April 2009 after having been postponed a few times, and nope its not called Part 1 and Part 2, its called Module 1 and Module 2.

Module 1 is an off road test around cones, either a left or right hand circuit.

  Module 1 is the new added bit to the old test, (old test now called module 2) you need to pass Module 1 before you can take Module 2

This new part of the test is designed to be difficult and you will need to be able to demonstrate to the examiner that you can ride the bike with a great deal of confidence and with a high level of machine control.

Unfortunately to get to this high level you need more experience, and to get more experience you quite simply need more time on the bike, and this is what drives up the cost, on average students need 2 extra days training.

The good thing about the new 2 part test, is when you complete it you will definitely be more competent and safer rider.
