Suzuki GS500

DAS Course

The Direct Access Scheme (DAS) is available to people aged 21 or over. The test can be taken on any size motorcycle provided the power output is at least 35KW or 46.6 bhp. At Heathrow Motorcycle Training we use the Suzuki GS500 and Gladius 650 motorcycles for our DAS courses.

Our courses are available in blocks of 2,3 or 4 days per module. As a general rule a 2 day course is aimed at people who already hold a CBT & have a lot of road riding experience on a geared bike. A 3 day course is suitable for people who hold a CBT but have little or no road riding experience on a geared bike and our 4 day courses are aimed at the novice without a CBT or any riding experience.

All of our courses include a practical test on the final day at no extra charge.

After you pass your test you can ride any size bike without L plates & carry passengers.

Yamaha YBR125

Standard Licence Course

The standard licence test is available to people aged 17 or over. The test must be taken on a bike between 121 & 125 cc that is capable of exceeding 100 kph or 62.1 mph. At Heathrow Motorcycle Training we currently use  the Yamaha YBR125 and Honda CG125 for our standard licence courses.

As with our DAS courses above, our standard courses are available in blocks of either 2,3 OR 4 days depending on your level of riding experience.

All of our courses include a practical test on the final day at no extra charge.

After you pass your test you can ride any size bike without L plates & carry passengers. For the first 2 years the bike has to be restricted to 33 bhp.
