THEORY TEST

Before you can take your on road practical test you have to pass the off road theory test at a DSA theory test centre.

The theory test is made up of two parts; the multiple choice part and the hazard perception part. You need to pass both parts to pass the theory test. Once you have passed the theory test you can then apply to take your practical motorcycle test.
Part One - Multiple Choice
This test covers a wide variety of subjects including traffic signs, road conditions & weather amongst many more.
Before starting you will be given instructions on how the test works, you can also go through a practise session to get an idea of the layout of the test. At the end of your practise session the real test will begin.
On the screen a question & several answers will appear, you have to select the correct answer by touching the screen. You will be asked 50 question in 57 minutes & need to answer at least 43 questions correctly.
Part two - Hazard Perception
This test involves watching 14 video clips of everyday road scenes.
Again before starting you will be given instructions on how the test works.
When you see a hazard start to develop click the mouse button, you will be scored on how quickly you spot the hazard - the longer it takes to respond, the lower the score. You have to score at least 44 out of 75 to pass.
At the end of both tests you will be given the results.
